Who are the Knights?

• The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with more than 2.2 million members world-wide. Tell me about Marquette Council.

• Marquette was founded in 1909, and for more than 100 years, Marquette Council has been highly respected and active.  Its membership is unique, as the Council is comprised of members from all over Archdiocese of New Orleans and not one just particular Church Parish. 

What are Eligibility requirements to join?

• You must be a baptized Catholic male.

• You must be a practical Catholic. (A practical Catholic accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.)

• You must be 18 or older.

• You must agree to abide by the Laws and Rules of the Knights of Columbus and the Constitutional Roll of Membership.

• You must participate in a 30-minute live (or on-demand video) Exemplification where you will be admitted to our Order and will learn about our the priniciples of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity.  Your family is welcome to attend.

What are the Yearly Dues for Marquette Council 1437?

• $100 per year (January 1 to December 31, but new members are billed on a pro-rata basis)

When are the Meetings?

• Our Council meeting for all members is the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

• The Rosary begins at 6:40 p.m., and the meeting begins at 7 p.m.
